In scientific works dual character of methods of an estimation natural-resource potential (NRP) is marked. On the one hand, it is objects and forces of the nature, and with another – values economic. One of the first N.A.Solntsev has formulated the concept of natural potential. He understood it as the latent natural opportunities which are available in each landscape but which cannot be realized without assistance of the human person. Development of the doctrine about natural-resource potential have continued N.F.Remejrs, V.V.Ryumin, I.S.Ilyin. The within the framework this article by the author are examined natural-resource potential of Primorye Territory and some modern methods of an estimation natural-resource potential.
